With over 250 staff across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man, we are one of the islands’ largest employers and have always had a strong ethos towards training because our aim is to promote from within wherever possible.

An excellent example of our desire to improve from within is our ‘Lead the Way’ employee engagement programme, which empowers everyone at Sure to take the initiative to improve how we work together and move the business forward.

Sure Academy

In 2012, we launched our own apprenticeship scheme aimed at developing our future workforce – the Sure Academy.

We identified a need for local staff to be specifically trained for what is a fast-moving industry and so the Sure Academy enables us to find talented individuals and give them the right training and support to become an integral part of the company’s future success. Apprentices from both the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey have joined the two year programme and spend time in different areas of our business, so that they learn about the many areas of our company before choosing the area in which they would like to start their career.
